Home Manager at Winscombe Nursing Home based in Kingswood, Surrey

Winscombe is situated in peaceful surroundings on the edge of Kingswood village, set within its own landscaped grounds. The home is conveniently situated for local facilities and is easily accessible from Kingswood station and the M25.
This attractive, purpose-built home welcomes older residents who require nursing care. The home also offers care for short stays, palliative, convalescence and Parkinson’s disease care.

We’ll also offer you a really achievable bonus too. Here is what you can expect to be doing on a day-to-day basis.

Take responsibility for the overall management of your home. You’ll need a solid care background and the ability to anticipate and deal with a wide range of issues.

Lead by example. Providing strong support, coaching and mentoring to everyone, you’ll be skilled at managing and motivating your teams to deliver the highest standards of care.

Recruit a multi skilled team. You’ll be able to identify the correct mix of knowledge and abilities needed, in order to create a well-balanced and highly experienced team.

Ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to all our residents. You’ll make sure their needs are always met and wherever possible exceed their expectations.

Be responsible for all finances and budgets. Running your home as if it was your own business, you’ll identify ways to improve profitability and reduce costs, without compromising quality.

Market and promote your home. You’ll make sure that you’ve a high profile home and are competing to attract residents, ensuring the highest occupancy levels.

Inspire and develop your teams ensuring that they understand the objectives of their business. We’re all in this together, it’s a team effort and you’ll make sure that everyone feels supported and motivated to achieve shared goals.

Ideally you will possess a relevant nursing qualification (RN, RMN etc) however this is not essential. If you’ve solid experience, meet the requirements of the role and think you’d be great here, then there’s a good chance that we will too.
